Tonight just felt like a night to use a bullet list.. no other reason… =D

 

  • Re-built in the save routines.. the game now saves every time you set sail or dock… currently…
    • This has caused me numerous issues.. it works.. so everytime i need to go back to a basic ship, gotta create a new profile. I knew there was a reason I didnt have it saving yet..

 

  • Started working on the ShipWreck Loot Tables..

 

  • You can only go as fast as your fastest ship…
    • Adjusted the free travel screen to figure out how slow your slowest ship was, and set your max speed based on that.. This way you cant just upgrade 1 ship to get that nice old speed bonus…. heh

 

  • Found out how much its going to cost to spay the kitten.. hard to code listening to a yowling kitten wanting outside all night.. and for the past week…

 

  • Moved some texture loading to the GameplayScreen.. This screen runs in the background and handles all of my gameworld variables for just about everything.. since everything is reliant on that all encompassing gameworld file… moving some of the textures here sped up the display and launch of some of the other screens too..

 

  • Ah.. yes.. built in those few lovely lines of code to monitor memory usage.. Im pretty tickled.. right now with most of the actual travel map loaded in memory in the gameplayscreen, im still only Peaking at about 70 meg.. average use is about 65.. most of that textures… so I might make it able to play on lower end devices!

 

  • Think thats it.. for tonight.. tomorrow I finish up the loot tables.. finish the shipwreck screen.. and then it’s on to adding faction to cities and ships.. You cant expect everyone to be your friend, can you???
